An elected Clerk heads the City Clerk’s office which provides many services to benefit the public.
 They administer elections and can assist  in registering to vote, obtaining absentee ballots, appointing election precinct inspectors for Election Day, providing candidate packets to be a candidate for a municipal office, and having election results on file.

The Office of the City Clerk also is the licensing entity for purchasing dog licenses or business operating licenses.  In addition, they prepare the City Council and Plan Commission agendas and can provide the public with copies of the minutes.  They also can provide copies of Ordinances when adopted by the City Council and maintains the permanent bid list.
