Open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, offering many forms of recreation,
including arts and crafts, pool, a comfortable meeting place for friends and more.
Senior Citizen services include: Mini Bus Transportation, Medical Aid Equipment loan program
(i.e. wheelchairs, canes, walkers), to anyone in need (no fee required), Hot Meals Program
(Daily, Monday thru Friday at 11:15 am), Card playing and Billiards, arts and crafts,
social celebrations and parties.
plan to attend a general meeting on any Thursday at the Southgate Civic Center, 14700 Reaume
Parkway. The meeting starts at 12 noon, but you are welcome to come earlier for our social gathering
to do raffles, etc. You may bring your own lunch or have lunch provided by the Nutritional Services
for a nominal fee.
Southgate Seniors go on various trips throughout the year. From casinos to stage plays, zoo outings,
boat excursions, ball games, exploring mansions, mountains, canyons, musicals, comedy shows, tours
all over the United States and Canada, and trips over seas. There is a trip to satisfy everyone’s taste and

Senior Trip Schedule
This activity emphasizes relaxation and inner calm rather than focusing on strength. The practice of Tai Chi can improve balance, enhance respiratory and immune function and promote emotional well-being. It is a moderate intensity cardiovascular exercise. We offer sessions for seniors ranging from Beginner to Advanced. Classes are held on Monday mornings at the Civic Center.
This program is designed for easy exercises to develop flexibility, strength and muscle tone.
Bingo is played every Wednesday at our Banquet Hall located here at the Civic Arena. Doors open at
10:00am, Bingo begins at 12:00pm and closes at 3:15pm, free refreshments at 1:30pm.
Admission Card is Mandatory.
