John Graziani

I have lived in Southgate for 50 years and have been married
to my wife, Mary Ann, for 29 years and have two sons:
Christian (25) and Joshua (19).
Christian is a graduate of Southgate Anderson High School,
University of Michigan-Dearborn, and University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
Joshua is currently a student at University of Michigan-Dearborn

I graduated from Southgate Schafer High School in 1980.
I obtained my Bachelors Degree from the University of Michigan in
Economics and Government, and my Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit School of Law.
I also attended the University of Notre Dame School of Law Program in London, England.
For the past 30 years, I have been practicing law out of my office in Southgate.
I have served on the Council for nearly 18 years and am currently the Council President.

Dear Southgate Neighbor,

I am very proud to be serving on the city council and along with the rest of the Council,
Mayor, Clerk, and Treasurer. I look forward to providing the best possible service to our residents.
We will always strive to be as accessible as possible. My goal as an elected official has always
been to focus on quality economic development with a constant emphasis on improvement.

I plan to continue working hard to:

-Maintain our residential areas against unwanted and haphazard economic development
-Continue bringing quality development to Southgate
  -Make Southgate more cost effective
-Get citizens more involved in our city government
-Continue to improve the quality of life in Southgate
  -Maintain safety in our neighborhoods.

The City Council encourages citizen involvement and welcomes residents to our meetings
on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 7:00 PM. We welcome input through
phone calls, mail and, of course, email.

My pledge to you is to ensure that Southgate remains financially responsible and
to also make sure that Southgate can be the very best it can be.

Very Truly Yours,
John Graziani
