CLASS INFORMATION
General
Please arrive about 15 minutes prior to their scheduled class time allowing sufficient time to get skates on. Skaters will be assigned to classes according to their level and ability. Class times and instructor information will be posted on the Figure Skating Bulletin Board in Rink B one week prior to classes starting. You may also call the Arena Office for skate times. If an email address is provided on your form, the schedule will also be emailed out. Proper skating attire is required. No bare skin legs allowed.
Adult Classes
Adult Classes will run on Fridays from 7:00-7:30 p.m. Our Adult Classes will follow the USFS Adult Badge Levels.
ISI Classes (Freestyle, Couples and High Jumps & Spins)
Classes will be 1/2 hour sessions held on Saturdays. Couples class will be at 9:00-9:30 a.m. and ISI Classes will be from 9:00-9:30 a.m. or 9:30-10:00 a.m.
High Jump & Spins will work on Jumps and Spins on FS6 and above. Must have passed FS5 to register.
You must have completed learn to skate classes to move into the ISI Classes. All skaters must be a registered member of Ice Skating Institute (ISI). Skaters that do not have a private coach will have a program created by a staff coach when the skater is ready to test a level. The cost for testing is $5.00. When registering for couples you must signup with a partner, we do not find you a partner.
Couples DOES NOT count as your required Ice Show Class.
Dance & Moves in the Field
Classes will be 1/2 hour sessions held on Saturdays/Sundays. Low Dance Class will be from 6:30-7:00p.m. on Sundays and High Dance Class will be from 7:00-7:30p.m. Moves in the Field will run on Saturday from 10:10-10:40a.m. or Sunday from 6:00-6:30p.m. Each Dance or Moves in the Field session will be a half hour in length. Skaters MUST be Freestyle 1 to participate in these classes. Class is available for all freestyle levels both High and Low.
Team Compulsory/Ensemble
Practices will be 1/2 hour sessions held on Sundays from 7:30-8:00p.m. or Saturdays from 11:00-11:30a.m. depending on team and coaches. There will be no tryouts this season. Once being placed on a team you must continue to register for all three sessions. All skaters will be placed on a team that the director sees fit. Based upon the number of registrations - there is no guarantee that you will be on a specific team or that there will be enough teams for everyone to participate. Skaters MUST be passed Delta/Badge 10 to tryout.
These teams compete at competitions. Additional fees will be required in payment to the team parent for costumes & competitions.
