Located at 14700 Reaume Parkway the Civic/Ice Arena is home to two ice surfaces and several rooms that are available to rent. In the off season when the ice is down, it is also available to rent out for large dry floor events. The Arena is the home of the Southgate Figure Skating Program, USFSA and ISIA affiliated – one of the largest figure skating programs in the downriver area. We are home to 2 high school hockey teams – Southgate Unified and Woodhaven High School. The arena is located in the City of Southgate Municipal Complex behind the Library and across the street from the Police Department.

RENTAL SPACES AND PARTY PACKAGES
Conference Room
The conference room can be rented for meetings and non-party functions. The room is located upstairs in Arena B on the balcony and can approx hold seating for 25-30 people. There is elevator access to this room.
The rental rate is $40.00 for a four hour time block for Southgate Residents and $60.00 for a four hour time block for Non-Residents. Proof of residency is required. There is also a $50.00 security deposit which will be refunded to you if there is no damage. it will be sent within 3-4 weeks after your event in check form mailed directly to your house. All fees must be paid at the time of booking.
Loft
The loft can be rented for meeting and parties and is upstairs from Arena A and overlooks the ice surface. It has seating for up to 70 people. It does not have any type of kitchen facility but has elevator as well as stair access and restrooms located within the room.
The rental rate is $150.00 for a 6 hour rental for Southgate residents and $175.00 for Non-Residents. Proof of residency is required. There is also a $50.00 security deposit which will be refunded to you if there is no damage. It will be sent within 3-4 weeks after your event in check form mailed directly to your house. All fees must be paid at the time of booking.
Party Room
The Party Room is located downstairs inside of Arena A and can be rented for meetings and parties. It has seating for approx 30-40 people. There is no kitchen facility.
The rental rate is $100.00 for a four hour time block for Southgate Residents and $125.00 for a four hour time block for Non-Residents. Proof of residency is required. There is also a $50.00 security deposit which will be refunded to you if there is no damage. It will be sent within 3-4 weeks after your event in check form mailed directly to your house. All fees must be paid at the time of booking.
Parkside Gardens Banquet Hall
The Parkside Gardens Banquet Hall is located in the Southgate Civic/Ice Arena Building adjacent to Arena B and the Southgate Senior Center. All bookings must be handled through Crystal Gardens at 734-285-2210
Private Skate Party Package
Private Skate Party Package Includes:
- One hour of private ice
- Three Hours in the Party Room
- Unlimited Skaters & Skate Rental
COST: $350.00 plus $50.00 Security DepositPackage is only available when we have open ice time available. Weekends may be limited due to hockey tournaments. All fees must be paid at the time of booking.
Add on Birthday Party Package Options:
- $5.00 per additional skaters (this includes skate rental)
- $200.00 for one additional hour of private ice
