Gun registrations can be dropped off 24 hours a day. There is a wooden box on the Records Bureau counter labeled: Gun Registrations. Please make sure either the Michigan State Police or Registry copy is dropped off. These are free, but need to be notarized. Citizens have option to use department notary for $5 or have notarized elsewhere.
